Parquet

Parquet floors date back to the 16th century in France. Craftsmen there created complex designs by fitting blocks of small wood in geometric ornaments. The word “parquet” comes from the French term “parquetry” meaning “small compartment.”

Wood Parquet Flooring designs are endless! We supply a wide range of world-class flooring products and services in Dubai, UAE. Our parquet is produced globally, and tailor-made for each client. Wooden flooring is available as solid planks, and also engineered – made of multiple wood layers

Natural wood flooring can be sanded and refinished multiple times. You can even change the colour to match a new interior. Also, it brings elegance, and increases the value of your property.

In addition to solid wood, we have various options of engineered parquet built of three or more layers.
Since wood is a natural material affected by atmospheric conditions, wood floors can change their dimensions with the seasons – meaning they enlarge when humidity is high and shrink when it is low. Thereby, the engineered planks’ layers are pressed together at an angle of 90 degrees. This controls the expansion and contraction.
Our engineered parquet top layer has a thickness of minimum 3 mm, and goes up to 6 mm, which is considered the best. It provides a longer life and allows the top layer to be re-sanded many times. It has excellent stability, and used for indoors.

The best thing about wooden parquet floors is that they come in many different designs.

Popular styles include the traditional Herringbone, Chevron or Versailles which are wooden tiles in geometric patterns being interlocked with each other. These are the parquet floors that attract the most attention. Although these look similar, they have many differences. Herringbone flooring is made of subtle zig-zag patterns, through wooden planks arranged that way at a 45 degree angle. It gives a rich, traditional look. Chevron flooring, on the other hand, has continuous v-shaped designs, that make it so distinctive. The planks are arranged at a 90 degree angle for a sharp, smart look.

Besides the classic designs, we offer custom made wood flooring as well. Our bespoke parquet allows you to choose any colour, finishes and texture to match your interior design. All custom flooring is treated with lacquer, oil or hard wax oil.

Unlike solid wood, engineered wood flooring can be used in various areas. It can be installed by any of three methods: nail-down, glue-down, and floating. The wooden parquet flooring is laid directly on the existing subfloor.

There are several types of subfloors: plywood, beams, concrete, bitumen, chipboard and many more. Installation methods for solid wood flooring and engineered wood flooring vary depending on the type of subfloor. Prior to installation of any wood flooring, assure that the subfloor is flat, level and dry.

No matter what type of wood, finishing, or installation method is chosen, our team needs to see the job site. This helps us to provide the best solutions, advice and service.

Solid hardwood flooring is a type of wooden flooring made of a solid piece of natural wood. It never goes out of style. Solid hardwood flooring comes in a wide range of wood species and characteristics. The most commonly used are oak, walnut, mahogany, maple, and cherry. The main difference between them is the hardness of the wood. More distinctions include the raw material’s grain and colors. This is why one polished wooden floor looks brighter or darker than the other.

Hardwood floors, although expensive, can be re-sanded and refinished multiple times, lasting you a lifetime.

3D wood flooring is an interesting type of wood flooring design. It has three dimensional designs, i.e. they create the illusion of depth on an actual flat wooden floor. This type of wooden floor designing is complex and requires expertise. 3D wooden floors, although complex looking, are easy to maintain and highly durable.
